Nestled on a corner lot in the heart of Little Rock, The Root Cafe at SoMa first opened its doors in 2011 with one mission in mind: to Build Community Through Local Food. Now over a decade later, we’ve expanded and transformed into a place of great food and good connections. With over 77% of our food and beverage costs being locally sourced, we’re able to offer classic and seasonal farm-to-table menu items that make you feel good about what you’re eating and where it came from. Start your day at The Root with a farm-fresh breakfast you’ll crave all week long! Join us every Sunday from 8am–2pm for brunch with weekly specials you can only get on the weekends, and don’t forget—our refreshing mimosas are served daily.
Lunch at The Root is served fresh Tuesday–Saturday from 11am–2pm and Sundays from 2–5pm, with daily specials that keep things exciting! From the perfect burger to crisp, hearty salads, it’s the ideal spot for a quick bite, a relaxed midday meal, or an easy pick-up on the go.
Dinner at The Root is served Tuesday–Saturday from 5–8pm, featuring rotating specials made with locally-sourced ingredients. Pair your meal with craft cocktails, local draft beer, or wine, and don’t forget to save room for our housemade desserts. With a warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s the perfect spot for date nights, family dinners, and community gatherings.
