At The Root Cafe, we firmly believe that our food is so delicious because we source from nearby vendors.

In fact, 75% of our food and beverage cost is locally sourced, ranking The Root in the top half of 1% for farm-to-table restaurants nationwide!!

Building community through events

Some of our favorite events to host include LR’s annual Beard and Moustache Contest, the Traditional Pie Bake-Off with the Central Arkansas Library System, and participating in the Arkansas Cornbread Festival!

Giving Back

We are happy to give back to our community through event sponsorship and silent auction donations! If you would like your organization to be considered for a donation, please complete the below form. We get a lot of donation requests, but we do go through each one! If we are able to donate, we will email you!

It all started when…

our friends at Washington Elementary School (our Community in Schools partner) spoke about their need for school uniforms. We knew out community would show up and show out for physical school uniform donations, but we wanted to provide more. So we started the round up & give campaign or ✨Change for Change✨! Within one month, our guests raised $636 for Washington Elementary School, which purchased an extra 200 uniforms!!

We thought, “why not keep going??” So we introduce to you the ✨Change for Change✨ program. Each month The Root will sponsor a new non-profit, and 100% of the round up change in-store and online will be donated!!
